[six line poem]

As I awake,
and see it’s day,
my dreams of you vanish fast.
But as I see,
you sleeping next to me
I know my dreams will last.

[seren]

Seren is the student newspaper for Bangor University
and there is a part of called ‘Creative Corner’ where
you are able to submit photographs, writing etc for
print.

Well I submitted a poem and two photographs and
they both got included which was pretty awesome.
What was great about it was that I finally did something
with my poems [due the encouragement of
yourownpersonalmonster, possibly one of the longest
standing readers of this blog] and I knocked it
off my to-do list. Which as it transpired it was never
on the list to begin with.

I have received compliments about the photos
and the poems which is always nice. I have
included it in this post as a PDF file so you can
just download it. If you go to Page 20 you will see
a photograph of some bikes in black and white
[that’s mine] and on Page 21 I have the poem[s]
as well as a photograph I took in a bookstore
[also mine].

I was thinking of submitting again. We’ll see what
they think of these and whether they feel they are
worth printing.

Hope you enjoy 🙂

[the thought is the same but the language is lost]

I text you whilst drunk
My thoughts and feelings are out
Finally you know

[green]

my phone rings, lights up,
the screen shows me your name
I smile, then say hi

[another love haiku]

Sitting with my book
Waiting at the train station
I look up, your there

[your standard love poem]

As the sun pierces my eyes
Devoiding me of sleep
As I awaken, I see
The only thing I’ll ever need

As you lay there
So restful and so serene
I lay back and wonder
How lucky I have been

[rosey cheeks]

Nothing can stop this

It can merely suprise us

Soft kissed cheek blushes

[short haiku]

Walking through the fields
My fingers gently brush past
I felt you with me

[moments of happiness] [not finished]

I’ve drifted off in your arms
Many a time
The safety and warmth
Knowing that these arms are mine

Your head inside books
To help with your art
My restfull head laying
Inches from your heart

[not sure how to finish this so
I’m just gonna leave it]

[massive silence, turn away] [poem]

As we see our silence,
Growing into nothing,
I use this lack of words,
As my way to tell you something.

So as you must have figured out,
I’ve never been good with words,
I can tell you stories for a hundred years,
And never once being able to grasp their worth
.

[I was trying to write a third
stanza for this poem but didn’t
wanna rush it and amybe ruin it]

[poem] [05:29]

I was hiding,
But again you found me.
Unawares,
As I was laying there drowsy.

Me and you have been close before.
I thought I knew you,
but you were something more.
I was in love with the idea of love,
Now With my heart no longer on the floor.

So love,
again you have found me,
and again I must must fall for your
every wish,
Because without you,
life is scary and grey,
How long could I have lasted like this.
I’ll call her to let her know I’m ok.

[wow, thats actually pretty bad, oh well
if you didn’t get it, it’s basically someone
hiding from love]

[guess I can’t write them anymore] [05:31]

[Little Green Book] [lyric]

[From the song entitled ‘Norman’]

Never, ever,
Could I ask,
For anything,
But you.

No-one before,
Or after,
Has brought sunshine
to my life,
In the way, that you
do.

[old love poem]

I’m in love with someone new
And I’m not sure what to do
Time is never on my side
And my good luck long ago said bye

But as she sits and we get close
There are things that I should know
Like how to take a chance
And say something real,
Like confessing how I feel

[this is one I found in a notepad
when I was clearing today]

[again not the best, but nice
enough to place here]
